This site is an OK place to start, but you will get limited exposure and interest here. FWIW, if you really want to sell it, post adds on Boatrader, Yachtworld etc. or list it with a broker who will list it there for you. Your $27K price is about $4k higher than what 8 similarly equipped 2000 268 Vista 's sold for in the last 9 months here in the US. |

Only 105hrs on it. Plus they gave me 3 year volvo engine warranty and slip for the season. So the price may be a little high. Good luck though and I hope you get what you want for it. |

weigle54 wrote: have you seen the 268s on yachtworld?? None of them below 27. And NONE of them will sell for asking price. You can list it at $27K, no problem there. But if you really expect to sell it, $22K to $24K will do it. I went through this excercise this past spring, had detailed records for all 2000 268 Vista's that SOLD for the prior 1-1/2 years. On average, ALL of them that did sell, sold for $2K to $5K less than what they were originally listed for. Options, trailer, and condition of the boats had little bearing on what the final sell price was. We sold ours , because it was priced to sell. Good luck if you expect to get $27K out of a 10 year old 268. |

Yep, where did you get the records? For anyone interested, I'm open to any offers! |

The records were supplied to me from a broker friend of mine. weigle54 wrote: by the way in case anyone was wondering, I paid 27K for it. Seemed like a decent deal for what I was getting: Fresh water boat w/ fuel injected low hr big block, sunpads, ac/heat, hot water, new bottom paint, newer canvas, etc.....only thing it doesnt have is the radar arch......never need it, NO trailer either. ![]() |

Unfortunately for you it's a buyers market. I've been inquiring about selling or trading in mine for a Carver or similar type house boat. |

Bought my 2003 last year. Mint condition with trailer and 60 hours for $31,000.00. I thought that was a great deal however in todays market there are some nice boats going very cheap. Another issue is finding a qualified buyer. The Banks are not to excited about loaning money on older boats. |
