Just wanted to update my prior post with some good news, the new buyer picked up the boat today, it was a great transaction. The boat is going back to fresh water, 750 miles away!

I wanted to provide some information on my experience with advertizing the boat. It was placed on eBay, July 5th, several emails, some low ball offers and many brokers trying to get me to list the boat with them. After the 10 days on eBay, the listing expired, so we place it on boat trader and craigslist, several phone calls from boat trader to look at the boat, however the buyer found the boat on craigslist first and we had started the survey and sales process. I also had another very strong potential buyer that wanted the boat from craigslist, they were second in line. So the whole point is, don’t forget about craigslist it’s free and it has national coverage!

It starts to sound like a MasterCard commercial, Ad on boat trader ($120), another ad on eBay ($55), free listing and a sale on craigslist, Priceless!

Hopefully I won't get in too much trouble, but the buyer could very well be amongst us already

The seacores on a 318 is a killer setup. Not to mention the kvh m3 setup which I continue to drool over.

I just hope he's ready to upgrade again in 5-7 years when I'm in the market

I too had a successful experience selling my last boat on craigslist. I paid for a photo ad in the Boat Journal magazine the same time I placed the craigslist ad. The boat sold on craigslist before the paid ad even came out.

Ok as a couple of you know, my wife and I are the new owners of this 318. It should be to our dealer by the end of the day today. The transport company couldnt haul overwide loads during the weekend, so he left at midnight this morning.

As KJN stated, it was a smooth transaction, and he was very easy to work with. Thanks KJN!

Also a big kudos to his son Brian, who was an awsome helper while we worked to get it packed up for transport.

Heres is a photo of it on the trailer ready to move. You may be as suprised as I was to see a tandem axle trailer. The trailer has an 18,600# gvw.

I will be listing our 268 shortly if anyone know someone interested.

Congrats to both of you. Glad everything worked out. Also, this may be the first boat sold (sort of) on this
board, and to a fellow iFW member.

Enjoy the rest of your season.

Awesome! Great looking 318. Post some details on your 268 and maybe we can get a chain of sales going.
