Paul I. wrote: Has anybody tried to load a raster chart on a SD card to display it on there Garmin GPS?? Thanks No, but HERE is a tutorial on how to do it. You will need quite a bit of software and steps to do it. Everything you need is in the tutorial. GPS Map series GPS is needed however. Why did you post this in the Buy/Sell forum. ![]() |

Thank you, but it sounds doubtful at best!! "maps into a full vector format that should work on most Garmin units" When the say "SHOULD"!! I called Garmin before posting this. They did not know! I really don't want to convert the charts. I am buying a new GPS and charts I have, like Maptech & Rosepoint. Why buy it preloaded, pay extra, when I have them and NOAA updates them. I was just wondering if anybody has tried!! To convert 60 plus maps, it is not worth it. OH, I did not mean to post this in the "for sale", sorry. |
