1988 261 Liberator with twin 460 King Cobras
Rolco triple axle trailer with dual electric brakes.

Engines are now 472's with a little under 500 hp each.
Forged 10.25 to 1 pistons, new cam profiles.
Blocks decked, line bored, cylinders out to 40 over, cranks still 0-0.
Stock Holley carbs with Ford Racing Cobra and K & N filters for Marine.
It will easily do 70 plus but the calculations say 81 mph.
It really is not that bad on fuel either, it's just the right set-up.

Both Engines and outdrives fresh with less than 10 hours total.

Outdrives - New bearings, seals and pump.

Props - Bravo II 4 blades polished Stainless Steel.

Cabin, mostly new everything.

This boat is not perfect yet. With minor work, it could be one of the finest Liberators there are.
I have pics all over this site, I will make a few more ad adjustments to get them in here.

If you are in need of a tow vehicle, I could make a package deal. 1992 3500 Crew Cab Chevy 1 ton dually.
No, I will not sell just the truck. My Tahoe would be mad at me again.

Asking price - $14,700.00 cash / will also except silver and gold.

Can deliver for only fuel cost mostly anywhere in North America.
We are located in South Central Kansas on the Oklahoma boarder.

Last but not least.
These are very, very rare for any Four Winns owner.

They go in the wet bar.

Ok guys, what do you think it's going to take to get this to move?

I have it on craigslist in Wichita, Tulsa, KC and here. No emails, calls, nothing.

The time of year is good.
The price, which I have looked up others for sale this spring and anything that is not junk, ugly redo's and has twin 460's is going for over 17k. Book value went up a good notch to almost 16k without the trailer.

Every other boat I have restored and sold, went quick. I try to get into them right, fix them up, enjoy them a little and price them really fair to get another one to start over. Heck, I just sold our 455 Jet boat in less than 20 minutes.

Give me some feedback, some numbers, etc.
Thanks,

The price looks fine for that boat. But with gas on the water at about $4.50 per gallon, you will have to find a gear head, Go Fast enthusiast that is looking for a boat just like that for it to move quickly. I might suggest advertising it on CL in Michigan, as there are alot of Lib's for sale up here, and alot of fans of the boats .

Ok, Lets get down to business then.

Craigslist is starting to suck, as people flag you just for fun. It take lots of time to keep posting ads. It is really hard to have enough email addy's and phone numbers to get into enough markets.

Here goes, new price to get things moving.

$14,700.00 Offer

That type of boat is also pretty popular on the rivers here in Mn. The Minneapolis craigslist site is far and away the place to buy and sell boats around here (as of 2:00PM today, you have to go 3 pages into the boats to find yesterday's adds). You could also try Rochester, Mn and La Crosse, Wi but their traffic is much lower.

I agree with others that with gas prices @ $4+, you'll need to find just the right buyer.

I actually mentioned your boat to a guy I work with who is looking in that price range and got to the twin 460's only to be stopped :(

edit: Just did a search of the Minneapolis site for "Liberator" and found this WTB add: http://minneapolis.craigslist.org/hnp/boa/2310567183.html Granted, it's a month old and he put $10k in the title, but there was someone looking for a 261

Thanks, I called the guy in that ad. He wanted one newer with a Merc. He had lots of merc drives and parts I guess.

I'll try to get an ad in up there today. I started putting free counters in them. So far, the Wichta one is past 100 in an hour.
Northern MI is at 5.

I put it up on Hennpin Co. Hopefully that is the right one. They had it split up that way.

Over 100 in around 15 minutes on this one. It's a numbers game and I just need a lot of eyeballs.
