I have a copy of the contract with POPYACHTS, it is written so I don't need a lawyer to understand it. I can cancel this agreement with a 5 day written notice, then sell on my own.
We don't have to sell our boat. (not in financial distress ) As the wife and I say " if it doesn't sell we still have a boat"
I do have my eye on a nice little Bertram.
ryot2, pm me if you would like to read my contract, I could scan and e-mail to you.

And the boat stays here at home on the lift, if someone wants to see it Popyachts calls and sets up a time.
When we sold our previous boat, a 2003 248 Vista through a broker, our boat didn't budge until the checks funding was cleared by our own bank and the money was in our account. I would think you could insist on the same thing.

The people who bought our boat hired the Marina to help load it onto their trailer in February! I was amazed they wanted it enough to purchase without even hearing or seeing it run!
