Evening all I am buying a boat here in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. I'd like your help... I want a family boat for cruising, water fun and general smile factor. My thoughts and feedback from others here so far: The Sea Ray 240 Sundeck is "muy" popular here. I like it with the 350 Magnum engine for its space, build, and image. My wife likes the 2 tables and toilet! Four Winns H220 Frenzy in orange - bright orange! I like the rarity factor. For sure no others around here and it turns heads! My wife figures it is a little too small but I like the 350 Magnum Bravo I on it a lot and the fact it has the stainless arch, big Bimini and other stuff in black so looks cool against the orange. I do worry about re-sale a bit as it is a "particular" taste that wants bright orange! I am a little concerned aout the trailer as it is to orange but I figure should be even though I would have black anyway as a contrast. Right now it is kind of just grey... Down here there are lots of ski boats - Nautique, Malibu, Sanger and Tahoes to name a few but I feel like I want a more a more allround boat. I know the H220 Frenzy is full on but it is also a Four Winns at heart. Also here are Cobalt (very few and pricy), Bayliner (not that popular), Maxum (not around now I gather), old Wellcraft, etc..... Any ideas, guys? Any specific experience on the Sea Ray 240 Sundeck or Four Winns H220 Frenzy? Should I go H220 and if so, is Frenzy the way? The dealer is asking $40k for a 2009 with 240 hours on a 350 Magnum Bravo I. There is also the stainless arch and other extras like DTS and other equipment. Thanks.... |

The Frenzy is a head turner for sure and setup. I think its the best of your selection group. Not saying anything wrong with others. I think the frenzy with a tinted windshield is as sharp looking as it gets. Regular high grade auto tint. Bayliner and Sea Ray are both made by Brunswick and are a good line also. 40k sounds a Rad high for our prices on a 3 year old 240 hour boat. I would expect to pay about 32k here I recon. |

The frenzy edition is a great boat. But $40K seems too high for that year. Obviously Mexico is a long way from Michigan, but this dealer will ship anywhere. We have bought 2 boats from them, and they are great to work with. Two years ago, they had shipped about 6 different Larson boats to Russia and Poland over the summer. This is a boat worth looking at if you don't mind a newer boat, an SS model, and parting with $40K. 2009 H220SS |

You can't go wrong with an orange boat ![]() I'd love to see a picture of boat on the orange trailer. The DTS package adds a couple of grand to the original price, don't know how it factors to used pricing. I would not own another boat without DTS or Volvo-Penta's equivalent EVC. Nice and smooth shifting, easy gauge hookups. Greg |
