My favorite line in the ebay listing is:

"I know the mechanic broke the outdrive trying to get it off and i know i fired him."

And this is the most painful one:
"I know the motor will likely have to be pulled out since the mechanic forklifted out the outdrive and its impossible to re-attach. It has the 5.7 320 HP and HAD a penta outdrive with 2 props in one."

Boat didn't sell at $11550 as the sellers reserve wasn't met...

The seller should be a comedian, his comments are hilarious. But, I got more laughs out of the buyers' questions.

Quote:
Is the SX drive still on the boat mounted or of the boat

There was not a single prop SX drive available on a 2003 268V

Quote:
Is sterndrive steel on the boat ?

I don't believe any manufacturer made a steel sterndrive in 2003

E-bay is such a crap shoot.

Looks like they pulled the boat out with drive completely down. :?

The poor guy might have had a decent boat if "ass*$@$%$ marine" didn't get a hold of it!

That has storm damaged boat written all over the auction. Those pictures are old and pre-damage. If that shop damaged the boat they would be sued.

Even at $9900, I dont know...that boat needed a lot:
- Engine
- Outdrive
- Seats
- Who knows what else after "the shorepower plug shorted"

Like so many people said before, it smacks of storm damage/hurricane. It doesnt take a genius to see something is terribly not legit about the accuracy of the ebay listing body.

And how does a marine mechanic break an outdrive taking it off?!!? Ive removed outdrives many times by myself. I feel bad for whoever bought the boat...hopefully they werent thinking it was minor repairs needed!!
