Hello, I just purchased a 2001 Four Winns Vista 268 and I am looking for a blue cockpit cover for the boat. I believe the Four Winns part number is 140-50345-0401. Would anyone know where I could purchase this item?

Don't knot bout your budget but the trailering cover is more desired if u will be trailering any distance....either one should be able to be ordered thru a dealer though. The cockpit covers r basic dust covers...will stop the dew but not rain and blow to hell going down highway.

I have two friends with the same year 268 Vista. The cockpit cover is just fine for trailering, as well as keeping the rain out. It's fastened to the bottom of the windshield with snaps, and on the gunwales as well. It wont flop around or blow off in almost any conditions. We used the cockpit cover on our 268 in it's slip most of the time during the summer. The cockpit was bone dry no matter how much rain we had. It was also much easier to put on at the end of the day than the camper canvas with all the eisenglass and side curtains.

For that year of a boat, you will probably not find any dealer that has one in stock. You can try and see if a dealer can order one for you, but unlikely Four Winns would have one either. Your best bet is to have one made at a canvas shop locally. Made from sunbrella fabric, it will probably run you about $800 custom made.

My 2002 268 Cockpit cover was made by Great Lakes Boat Top Co and was the factory option. I just replaced my cover thru them for about $600. Go to their website and request a quote

I checked with Great Lakes Boat Top Co and they don't have/make one for the 2001 268 Vista. Any other places that I could check?

I bought a black one here from another member a couple years ago and haven't used it, it's in great shape. I will let it go for $100 +shipping. I only put it on a couple times and was waiting to use up my original one. I sold the boat so it's available.
