I am considering adding adds to the site to help off set the the costs of hosting etc. How would the group feel about this? I have tried to keep free, but this all comes out of my pocket at moment. |

I will always say "I hate ads!", but I also get the need for them to offset the costs. I'm grateful for those that run forums like these as the wealth of information inside these threads is immeasurable. Because of this, you'll get my "Yes" vote! |

Agreed it’s helpful to share information but the cost should not fall to just one person. So I’m fine with ads. |

Like the others have said, I'm typically against ads, but also appreciate offsetting costs and have received so much valuable information (and amusement) from this forum over the years. I added my Yes vote. Erik |

Prefer no ads but most other forums a frequent use them and I would still come here with the caveat that I sure hope it doesn’t slow things down too terribly... Out of curiosity how much roughly does it cost to run this? No biggie if your not comfortable sharing. |

Ad block blocks and security issues already got it locking me out again. It is your site you can do as you wish you don't need my permission. And I understand. But from my side of the keyboard it sucks all the way. Since we are being honest. Malware issues from advertisers. The ad block block is your system getting into my system so you know what I am doing so you can advertise what you think I will buy. It is a nightmare from where I sit. |

I'm new to the site and love the info. If a few adds generate some rev to keep the site functional i'm in as long as it doesnt turn into the Hull Truth site? Has anyone tried to navigate that thing for info? It's a true Rabbit hole. |

I'm all in for advertisements that are boat related....assuming it's not more than image with link. If it's something that constantly interferes with viewing forum the I'm out. |

I agree with RekaSea I used to go on hull truth all the time but never do any more because of the adds I would be fine with some adds especially if it would pay for photo hosting |
