Update:

We have added a question that needs to be answered correctly as a spam preventive for new account. I have re-enabled registration and will be monitoring it's effectiveness in helping turn the tide. I literally had to remove 1500 accounts that were created this weekend. and the mods are expressing frustration. Hope this helps.

That's a hell of an idea since most of them are in China and the likes, they'd have no clue. But then again, newbie boaters might be lost too.

The registration question HAS kept a lot out though.

Yep, not seen as many bogus signups from China-based IP addresses.

While I'm interested in appealing to a wide audience I wouldn't be opposed to an IP address range ban that just blocked all of mainland china. Sure, there's probably one lone guy over there with a FW and that'd shut him out. Versus the hundreds of spam signups. Seems like a no-brainer.

Yes, they could use botnets to host their attack from legit IP addresses or ones outside of china, but that's a different attack to fend off if/when it ever happened.

Hey all! I'm back in the saddle! I'm a lifetime boater and owned a 1986 Liberator back in 1988... (I bought it second hand) I LOVED the boat but was young and wanted so much more boat!! So I bought a brand new sea ray 30... That led to selling the Lib Anyway, Long story and many big boats and small boats later.... I got my 211 Liberator back! I'm so excited!!!! Its a 1987 and very clean... WOW ! Nice to be here HELLO!!! Now ~ how do I add a PICTURE?
