I cut out a square piece of cardboard to block sunlight from the hatch. Its like the sunlight of death at 6am without it trying to sleep. Is there an official way to block it out when overnighting?

I had a camper that the previous owner cut 3 inch foam just slightly oversized that would fit in the skylights to block out the light. The wife had even covered the foam with fabric, they looked like pillows when not in use.

That is an excellent idea and will increase the insulation factor as well. I usually just place our square throwable device on top of the hatch but that is a pain and it can blow off if too much wind.

I just had my local canvas shop make some blackout covers using black canvas. Remove a few screws from the skylight mount and replace with screws and snaps and we can snap them in and out any time we want, and they fold up nice and tight and are easy to store.... Didn't cost much either..

I had a circle of black Plexiglass cut at a plastic shop the size of the hatch. I fits in side the fabric screen that snaps on the hatch.
