After a great weekend on the boat last weekend the god blessed boat won't start
The motor doesn't make the three beeping sounds when you turn the key only one. The motor turns over fine, seems like it wants to turn on. We checked all the relays and fuses and all are fine but we don't have power at the fuel pump. We were going out for a sunset cruise and now we are landlocked.
My guess is a relay but I don't know how to check them.

Did you push the big red breaker button?

There's a CB on top of the engine that controls the fuel pump. try that. Also, check your safety lanyard and reset.

If it's the red button you push in we tried it but nothing happened. Boat is missing lanyard always started without it.

Not getting power to the fuel pump at all. The weird part is that the boat doesn't beep three times when I turn the key like usual. Turns over fine just doesn't fire up.

Naw, there's a different one on top of the engine. I trip it dang near every time I work under the hood. Same symptoms too... no beeps, no fuel pump. See the relays on the very left side of this pic.... it would be on the back side of them (facing toward centerline)

and it would look about like the one pictured here....

Hope that helps.

I'm going outside to the boat now thanks for the picture I will look at those. What do you do take them out and put them back in? I am so sick of these gremlins the boat was running perfectly last weekend! Thinking of selling the boat and buying an airplane I am so done with this craziness. Love your picture I want that K&N bad.

When boats break it's usually always something dumb. Always look at the easy/simple things first. My boat ran like crap, no power, hesitation, backfire, stalling, etc.... $10 anti-siphon valve was clogged.

I checked every fuse and pulled out every relay and nothing changes  Changed my crappy speakers to those Polk speakers and they saved me from putting a couple of holes in that engine. I give up for today I gave it my best but that obviously wasn't good enough. Tomorrow is another day hopefully I don't have to pull a thousand to fix my reverse ATM. Goodnight all thanks for all your help I appreciate it very much. 8)

It sounds basic; and "inter-lock-y". I'm saying CB, but still think it could be Safety Lanyard, or the Neutral Safety Switch. Check both of those.... jumper out if you have to for purposes of eliminating variables. If your fuel pump is not getting power AND you are not getting test Beeps from the engine.... I'm just saying.

Still sounds like the safety lanyard to me. I know you said it never mattered before, but the boat should never start without it.

My cousin was installing the new polks, and he did take that panel off to install the speakers. Maybe something moved I guess. Thanks going to look into the lanyard system again.

+1 for Neutral safety switch. Are you sure the boat is in neutral? I had my shifter work itself loose one time and with the shifter in the vertical position, it still was not in neutral because the shifter disengaged and then re-engaged in the wrong position. I had to hold the key in the start position and slowly move the shifter until it beeped and fired. After that I was able to reposition the shifter and tighten it down. Sounds like same type of problem.
