Finally experienced temperatures in the 70's in NY, so I took advantage and worked installing the new stair treads on my newly powder coated boat ladder. I have the 3 step folding ladder without a cover. The treads work great with this format. When the ladder is folded, it will rest on the edge of the tread, about 1/2 an inch from flat, but without a cover there are no worries. I used 1 inch #10-32 stainless flat socket bolts with stainless acorn nuts. I used the blue loctite on the treads and a star washer to hold them tight. The treads nearly triple the surface of the step, and should really help the make the climb more comfortable. Below are the some photos of the project and final results.
