My cabin interior around my hatch and in my aft bunk are horrendous. I have tried everything I could think of to get rid of them. Would spray painting over them work?? I really don't want to replace headliner.

They are black and they are on like a woven fabric headliner type material.

I have used "Restoration Technology - Marine Strip" on the badly stained vinyl seats on my previous boat, and it cleaned up mildew that seemed to be inside the vinyl. Very strong stuff. Treat with 303 Aerospace Protectant afterwards. Can also be used on Gelcoat, and works great on fenders. Never tried it on carpet or headliner material, but you could try on a small spot.

(I had purchased from http://www.boatownerswarehouse.com )

I have the same issue and used scotch guard cleaner/protector and that helped a little bit but didn't get rid of the stains totally. I was thinking of looking in to dyeing the fabric if I get the time.

Do you have access to a small steam cleaner? I have had good luck with ours at home and in the truck. I don't recall what cleaners I used but there are plenty out there.
