New to this forum but I can not find an answer. Medallion tachometer is stuck at 4000 rpm. Never moves. Any ideas. No luck finding a new one.

Kansas City?

I see a few Medallions on eBay. Do you have a picture?

Have you tried removing the gauge to see if you can get the needle to move? I have the original Medallion gauges in my '88 and they all still work, believe it or not. I have a new set of Faria gauges thinking that they were going to stop working soon but they have hung on! Too bad you can't get them any longer, they must have been pretty good to last that long (mine's in salt air all summer)....

I am going to try pulling it out tonight to get a part number. I will try to play around with it after that. I may try inputting a signal to the tach on the bench to see if I can get it to move. I will need to find a pin out once I get the part number.

The tachometer is a KYSOR / Medallion STK-108-00W The needle just moves freely on its own. If you take the face off you can move it manually. I think it is internally broken. Anyone know of a replacement?

Those are the same gauges I had on my 93, and ended up replacing all the gauges with Faria as they each started to act weird.

Is there a Faria cross reference list for the Medallion gauges?

They have a nice on line catalog with a wide variety of styles. You may find one that comes close to matching your old gauges.

I went with this gauge set in white, you will have to buy separate trim gauge for the Cobra.

http://www.overtons.com/modperl/product ... gi?i=76667

you will need 2 of these rings to adapt the tach and speedo, 4" to 3-3/8" adapter

I based my install on this install, and has some good information and picture in it also
