I hope looks are deceiving for the outdrive and it needs a new prop. I got my new prop from Cabela's bargin cave for $100. But that outdrive doesn't look like it was taken care of. Hopefully looks are deceiving about that outdrive.
Here is the only pic I have available right now of our outdrive.

And of the engine.

The boat I am looking at and your boat look almost exactly the same, however your boat is MUCh cleaner! I have no idea how that prop got so chopped up! It is complete garbage.

It doesn't take much to chew up an aluminum prop. The main thing to check is if the prop shaft is bent and if there any seal leaks on the lower unit. If so you (or the seller) are looking at some expensive repairs. If they didn't keep up the boat there could be a lot wrong with it that will make it not a good deal in the long run. Even more reason to get a good OMC familar mechanic to look at it.
BTW I chewed up a prop even worse than that my first season and didn't bend the prop shaft, but you never know. It's always worth paying more for a boat on better shape because the work to get one in so-so shape into good shape costs more than you can anticipate.
Like I said earlier, if you go a few years newer, you can get something similar with a Volvo powertrain that will be easier to get serviced, easier to sell and worth more in the long run. I have no problem with a well maintained OMC, mine has been reliable and has not needed a lot of repairs for a 20 year old. But you have to be realistic about the realities of boat ownership and the problems of running out of production stuff.

Yep Zack,
Our boat is a 94 Horizon 180 (which is about 5 feet shorter than the one your looking at) and it looked like it was less than 2 years old when we bought it last year. We love the boat and have had a good time with it, but it even has problems. The guy who owned it before us took VERY good care of it and only used it like once a year. Our gas gauge doesn't work, the trim motor might be going out. We just had one of the tilt/trim rams rebuilt due to it leaking. The impeller went out (which wasn't a big deal I already had one and just didn't have the time to put it in, but it is in now. LOL) and luckily I caught it before the engine overheated.
So I know you'll love the boat as long as it is in good condition but if you have to sink money in it continuously, that will get old fast. Good luck on your purchase, and let us know the out come. Also was the boat a fresh water boat only or was it used in saltwater?

This refers back a bit in the thread but I found some interesting info on the Volvo engines and how to identify the engine with the era of the company. Here's the link:

I have a 93 210 Horizon that I bought 5 years ago with only 400 hours on it. I have had no trouble with it and wouldn't trade it for anything. The boat is very solid and looks almost as good as new, or at least you'd never know it was 15 years old. I have not needed parts for it but I have been in touch with Doug Russell and parts don't seem to be a problem to get. You can even still get new engines and drives for it.
