Just wanted to share with everyone the davit I installed on our 328. Added this so we can carry the stand up jet ski on the platform. Everything above the fiberglass was a commercially available part from a company called "Thern" and everything below is custom engineered by me :D Everything is 300 series stainless so it will never rust and the capacity is 500#'s max. Works great by the way and is not obtrusive in daily use. Extremely happy with the outcome. If anyone wants to make the mod, let me know and I'll be happy to help.

I saw your boat when we stopped at your marina for lunch while on vacation. I was wondering about the SS cover was for. Looks good without the lift on also.

Bill, nice job. I have a 2000 328 and we love the boat, i was thinking about changing the duck bill valves in the vac-u-flush generator it looks like a pain in the neck job . I was wondering if you have changed yours yet ? thanks a lot Joe.

JV,

Thanks for the complement. Just being mentioned with Vista Al is quite a complement!

Joe,

I had to completely disassemble the pump because SOMEONE put a either a baby wipe or heavy duty paper towel in the toilet! It's no fun... plan on getting bruised up pretty good. The work isn't that hard but you get poked and prodded by everything in the bilge. I ended up putting in the old duck bills even though they were quite distorted due to the paper towel being wedged in. Still worked perfectly fine afterwards. I don't plan to replace them unless it starts cycling a lot.

Joe, didn't move the hot water heater... it's always been there.

Not a Vista owner yet (horizon 240), but wanted to recognize some nice work when I see it.

Beautiful boat!

Hi, Bill, I wanted to know if you moved the vac-u-flush generator closer to the hot water heater. My vac-u- flush generator is mounted further rear of the hot water tank. I might move mine foward whenever i change my duck-bill valves. thanks a lot Joe.

Joe, had to move the VF generator outboard, sligtly fwd and more parallel to the hull sides in order to fit the tube for the davit next to it. The original hoses gave me all the length I needed to do this. I don't think the location of the VF generator is very critical... you can probably move it anywhere you like within reason. BTW, the screws that hold it to the floor are EXTREMELY tight and long phillips head screws. In fact I stripped one screw head and had to get it out with vise grips. Good luck!

Cap'n - how the heck did you find a thread that old?

That pre-dates most of the board members! ha ha

that is a cool set up, I need that for my stand up, currently I have to ride it from the marina to the camp spot. :(

First I probably need a bigger swim deck attached to a bigger boat 8) :D
