I have 1998 Horizon RX with Bimini Top that has the zippers for aft/side canvas. But I can't seem to find the aft and side canvas. Any help would be appreciated. Great site with very good info. Mark

As for your canvas.... You should just get a good canvas shop to fabricate you new sides. They will probably be cheaper than FW (even if they are still available) and you can customize the openings to suit your personal preferences. Try this link and look at the different pages to see what the canvas would have looked like (P.41)

Marc is right, find a good canvas shop and have them make them for you. Trying to find OEM for a 98 is not likely to happen.

FW may be able to tell you who the original manufacturer was if they do not have any stock... I know I have seen similar canvas posts before, but I can't remember who the OEM canvas manufacturer was that FW use. 230Mike would know off the top of his head!

Thanks guys for the help and welcome. Where we are from is tricky...we are full time RV'ers and claim our home state as SD. But we are currently in the Tahoe area in CA. We are going back to GA to see our daughters family, so we decided to buy a boat so we could hang out with them when we are in the vicinity.
First time owner of boat, so I'm sure I will be asking a lot of stupid and hopefully some intelligent questions about boating and Four Winns boats.
We are in our late 40's and boy are we enjoying life on the road. Thanks for all the help.

It's a lot fun (sometimes a pain...fuel prices) but so far we have no regrets. Now I have to get smart on all the stuff pertaining to boating. Glad I found this forum so the smart guys can give me some advice. Mark

What would you guys advise on winterizing my boat that stored in the Atlanta vic, inside a garage? I know the garage is well insulated and very doubtful it will fall below freezing. Suggestions?

I am near Atlanta and I have an 04, 180. I store in the garage all year since I purchased new. Garage is insulated and I even keep a thermometer on the swim platform just to make sure I'm always above freezing, which I am. Before the winter around November, I change the oil/filter, outdrive oil, fuel filter and thats about it. Then once a month during the winter when the weather allows, I take it for a drive to get fuel flowing thru the carb, oil heated up and flowing and mostly... because I can However, with the fuel prices where they are, I may not be getting to the lake this winter. This year in addition to above, I'll add some fuel stabilizer and fog the carb and put her away until the spring. Next spring I'll change the waterpump impeller and I'm ready to go!

May I suggest (and not just aimed at you)..... even though your boat is in a garage and such, if the temp gets down to about 25F, you could be lookong at damage to the cooling system (cracked block, exhaust headers, power steering cooler). I know it's a balancing act. However, compare the price of about 2-3 gal of RV antifreeze (about 3 bucks a gallon) to price of finding out the day before a nice weekend that your cooling system ruptured, and it will cost about $1000 and two weeks to repair. Financially, it would take 100 seasons of winterizing properly to match one "awh sh!t". I hope that at least gives you a different perspective.

Thanks for the advise. I think I'm going to winterize it. Might as well be safe than sorry.
