Summer has finally arrived in the UK (better late than never) so going to make the most of it this weekend.

The plan is to head off to the boat Friday afternoon (3 hour drive)... evening meal in our favourite Chinese restraunt.
Cast off early Saturday out into the bay (after a full english breakfast), smooth seas are predicted so we will head south for about 25 miles to an area called Newquay, where there are resident pods of Bottlenose dolphins that usually want to play when the sea is smooth. Later in the day we will head back slowly, calling into a few coves where there are Atlantic Grey Seals with their pups always good for a few photo's.
Then head out to a reef for a spot of fishing, drop anchor and toast the sunset with a bottle of Champagne that's been in the fridge for months just waiting for a nice day.
Head home Sunday.... Can't wait!!!!! :D :D

Sounds Awesome! please be sure to get some pics and post them. Won't this pretty much be your end of season very similar to us North American's? I assume you were just being sarcastic since the weather has been so poor for you too?

No, not being sarcastic at all, the weather as been quite good for the last couple of weeks. I have done more hours in the last three weeks than I have done all year.
Here in the UK our weather has changed dramatically over the last 5 years or so, the boat is on my marina all year round, last winter I only had to put a heater in the engine compartment just in case there was a touch of frost at night but the High/Low thermometer
never went below 38 degrees F. I suppose there are at least some good things to be said for global warming because we can get good boating days right up to Christmas, Honestly!

Well, the weekend went as planned, except for the dolphins, they failed to show.... you win some.... you lose some.

Nice pictures... It looks like you might have a trolling motor on the back of your boat... Or is that Evinrude for a dingy?

Yes, for the dinghy, just sold that one and bought a Suzuki 2.5 four stroke.
