Well, once againthis proves the theory that you can learn something on every thread and every time you log in here. I had not considered the beam width but it makes perfect sense. Thanks guys.

Beer...... You can see the 268's mid berth's hinged storage compartments to the right under the
berth window in this picture. Not my picture, but the best one I could find on short notice.

I would not pull any of the aft apart.
When I have added any wiring, I just pull the fuse panel and fish wire from there thru the gunwale back to the engine compartment. If you remove the speaker on that side you can reach in and help fish wires between fuse/helm and engine comp.
For our stereo, amp, sub upgrade, I did pull most of the two storage compartments apart just in front of the aft to run wires underneath or behind. I wish I would have taken photos, easier to show vs. explain. I ran all new monster wire from amp to all 4 cockpit speakers.

I have on my project list to add swim deck LED lights as well as some in the cabin and cockpit, that will be a couple more months before i go get boat out of storage though. :cry:
