So, I've got my new 6.5" cockpit speakers, amp, and sub installed. All sounds great. I ended up using some 1X2 to brace the plastic where the stock cockpit speakers were mounted. Took the vibration right out of that, no problem.
However, I'm still getting too much vibration in my throttle assembly and the access hole cover near it. I bought 20 oz of PolyFil to try to dampen some of that sound so that the vibration subsides. Anyone think I have any concerns about fire if the PolyFil were to shift over time and come into contact with any of the wiring running along the hull back behind there?
Also, how do you hold it in place? Is just packing it into a space enough or do I have to go so far as to glue it in place?
