That was our last day on the water last season. It was dead quiet on the lake and the kids were stoked I tied up for a while and let them play on the beach. It's usually a busy spot and a boat is constantly bobbed by passing wakes.

Jeff - fantastic shots!
Where was that on Mohave? Near Cottonwood Cove?

Thanks for posting them.

I was out on Lake Mohave AZ, mid week just before the Memorial Day holiday weekend (5-20-09) and captured this boat at rest. It flew over twice before deciding to put in. It was nice to see these guys get the opportunity to take a small break from thier much appreciated responsibilities.

i think maybe you should start your own thread called "Boats in a Coma" :!: :!: :!: :P

Just kidding! I thought you were going to be slipping your boat or atleast moving it closer to the lake so you could use it more?

Me too. I guess that was the optimist in me talking. He makes an appearance once a year.

We were on Lake Oconee yesterday (Sunday). We usually put in at Reynolds Plantation by the sand bar. I'm up in Watkinsville, only 40 minute drive to the ramp. We strickly trailer to either Oconee, Russell, Hartwell. What do you think of hooking up sometime?

That sounds good to me. We've only been on Oconee twice now and I would like to get a few lessons on the lake without learning the hard way. We've been launching at the ramp by Swords north of I-20 and haven't even made it down to the dam yet. We turned around just past the sand bar on Saturday. I think we'll launch further south this weekend to explore a little more of the lake. Let's talk later in the week, I don't want to jinx the forecast quite yet.

I finally have a picture of my boat, at rest, in the water. Courtesy of Cincy Aquaholic, taken over Memorial Day weekend.

Looks great if you ask me :)

I will be out of town this weekend Friday and Saturday. Would like to say it's a "Go" for Sunday but can't see that far in the future. I'll check the forum on Satruday afternoon. We'll get the details ironed out then if your still in. I've been boating Oconee for 8 years now, kind of know where to go and yes, it can be tricky. I have a good place further south for you to put in. Old Salem Park (not a State Park). It's on the way in to Reynolds Plantation South of 44. Go ahead and google it and get your bearings.

Oh, nice boat too!
