I just sold my 225 Sundowner..so the search is on.

I've missed out on the two boats I really wanted. One I didn't get my boat sold in time, and the other I didn't get them a deposit in time.

Must haves are AC and a windlass. Gen would be nice. '04 or newer, we need a trailer. Like to stay around 40k.

Help me find my next boat! I've gotten a one boat down 15k, so asking prices can be up to about 50-55k I'd say....

Good luck finding a boat with what you want, for what you can afford. The one above would
be a consideration if I was you.

Firecadet I called my dealer this morning. This is a boat that I was trying to buy but the guy wasn't selling it then so I ended up going with a new one. It is on consignment at my dealer. I know the boat and the owner. Don't know what kind of deal can be had but I know this boat is equipped with everything. Has an 8.1L Volvo engine. Problem might be that this guy will not need to sell. I know he has a motor home now but he can afford both. He may be tired of this toy so you never know. It was wet slipped for a couple of years at my marina. If this link doesn't work send me an email and my regular address and I'll reply to you with the link.

Well, I guess it's okay to post boats above your price range, so here is another one that is one step down from the $70K and the $62K boats posted above. How about a mere $54K ??
Everything but the space hoggin' genset on this baby........

I've been on this boat.

This broker sold our 245 Sundowner in Spring of '07. This 268-V came in while we were readying the 245 for a sea trail, for the eventual buyer. The boat looked pretty clean, and was from someplace in the south-east.

http://www.yachtworld.com/core/listing/pl_boat_detail.jsp?&units=Feet&id=1715323&lang=en&slim=broker&&hosturl=americanmarine&&ywo=americanmarine&

We considered this boat, when were were "shopping for real" for our 268. We passed, due to the lower price, lower hours, super clean and non-painted bottom of the one we got (no heat/AC & gen though).

Since it's been there for 2-years (!) .... it is likely "negotiable", but the price in '08 was about $50K, so, the current $30K may be the bottom price. Remember, the broker gets 10%.

It's about 30-min from where I work. I can check it out if you need. Additionally, the surveyor that the broker suggested, for the buyers of our 245, was about $100 or $150 and was a good guy.

This is at the same place as the 268, above.

I REALLY like this one ..... Big Block, Heat/AC, Gen, Trailer ..... but may be expensive.

Don't be afraid of the big-block. It will perform better than the small-blocks (especially with a gen an all the extras) and will get similar 9if not better) fuel economy.

Capn I am trying to work a deal on this boat as we speak. I talked to this broker about two years ago when I was getting rid of my Sea Ray 185, looking at a 220 Horizon he had. Talk about a small world...

This boat says it has AC....but I can't see anything in the pics that would say it does....

The photo of the breaker panel, I believe that the bottom right breaker is for the A/C. They just did not provide a photo of the A/C controller. Of course you will just never know exactly how the boat is equiped until you go step aboard and look at every little thing.

Looks like a nice boat.

Thanks! Thats what I was thinking. They wouldn't provide a breaker for A/C if it didn't have it, or would they? On my 225 I have a rocker switch for docking lights, which we don't have, but I feel a breaker is different.

Oh yes they would, and they do. I have a breaker on my 268 for A/C, it does not have A/C.

Cap'n is probably correct. That panel looks exactly like mine except I don't see the controller for the AC so my bet would be that it does not have it.
