Yep, well the following weekend anyway,
Here in Oz it's winter but where we boat at Morgan on the Murray River the weather tends to be warmer than here in the capital (Adelaide). I don't think that we will get the Boat out, but most likely just get on the water in the canoes, either way it's all fun

Yep, putting our boat in the water for the first time since July 2007 !!! Yay!!! (don't worry, it's been totally checked out and serviced). Had a wicked storm last night though, even had hail the size of your thumb coming down...

Well, I was out of town last weekend, so we didnt get to put the boat in the water. I have to work today, and I WILL be on the lake on Sunday...no doubt about it.

I am DYING for some lake time.

Sorry some of you couldn't get on the water today.

We were on the ramp at 10:00 and pulled out about 4:30. We had a great day of just running around WOT, tubing, and swimming. We even got a chance to help another boater out by towing him back. Came home all sun burned and with an empty cooler!!!

Restock the cooler, fill the gas tank, and do it again tomorrow hopefully. It was 98 deg with a heat index of 108. It's been in the high 90's all week and I really expected the water to be all green with algae etc. BUT it was really clear, could even see my feet in lake water!!! Amazing!

Yep we just got back also. We launched about 9:30 and got off the water about 4:00. A good day and great water.

After not being out for a month for various reasons (mostly weather-related), we finally had nice weather and made it out today for about 30 minutes. The temperature was nice, but everyone had the same idea so the Great South Bay was quite crowded, and there was some wind.

The admiral was not enjoying the experience and wanted to go home, so that was the end of our day. I guess we're relegated to warm, zero-wind weekday boating -- except this coming Friday -- July 4th is going to be mayhem.

On the bright side, my daughter didn't mind it (she's 15), and I managed once again to dock the boat without injury or property damage.

I hope everyone enjoyed the weekend.

Kevin

Great weekend....Saturday was sketchy but we avoided all the storms. Just some clouds and sprinkles when the front pushed thru. Sunday was near perfect...just a bit of wind so we tucked in a cove for most of the day.

My daughters new past time that pretty much encompasses her day.

If you've got a 15 year old daughter who likes to boat with you, count your blessings!!!

Believe me, I count my blessings all the time. Not only does she love to boat, but she does her homework, studies, and gets great grades without prodding. On her last report card she had a 94 average, and she did great on her Regents exams. Happy and proud? You bet!

I hear you. Our 17yo has always had straight A's, etc... but happens to hate boating.
