Just got back from an awesome camping trip with 6 families on the Pend Oreille River in Northern Idaho. Great time with old college friends and a ton of kids enjoying the river and boats. So at the camp site (Riley Creek) they have a boat basin where everyone beaches and ties up their boat overnight. Well Saturday morning the ranger comes by our site and tells me and my buddy that we need to go to the boat basin because there are some missing boats. My heart sunk!! Well we head down there and the sheriff is waiting. Some MF untied 6 boats and pushed them out into the river to let them float away. I lucked out and they did not untie mine. However my buddy’s boat was missing along with 5 other boats. The worst thing is that the sheriff also said there was a sunken boat up at the dam. I get in my boat and my buddy gets in the sheriffs boat and we head out to find his. Eventually we find the boat tied up against a dock. Thank goodness for a Good Samaritan. By mid day we end up finding all the boats and that night we all pulled our boats and took them to our camp sites.

As for the sunken boat this apparently was from another incident on the river.
Basically I just don’t understand how someone gets off doing this type of thing……
