I'm looking for an outboard powered 17-18 foot open bow Four Winns.

I would like it to be 1990 or newer. It can either be the ealy 90s Freedom/Horizon hull style or the hull style that started in 94.

It has to be outboard powered. OMC Evinrude/Johnson would be expected.

If you have one or know where one is located please let me know.

I am in West Michigan (Grand Rapids) and I am willing to travel to find the right boat.

I have $5k cash that I am willing to spend on a boat that is in perfect condition.

there is a nice clean unit over at http://www.winnisquammarine.com Look under brokerage boats. there is no write up yet but checl with Chris and he can give you the status. This type of package is rare and will be hard to find...Jump on this one if it's in your price range.

Is the boat you are refering to on the website now or not? Did you see the boat in person?

I notice there is a 205 Sundowner O/B on their website. That is even rarer than what I am looking for.

My ideal boat would be 2000-01 or so 180 Horizon with an outboard with a fiberglass liner and snap in carpet. These are out of my price range. So, I am looking for a little bit older one. I would like to have a 94 or newer as I like that hull design and interior layout a little better. However, I would like to see anything in the 1990-2000 model years. Again, I am looking for a 17-18 foot boat open bow (Horizon/Freedom) with an outboard.. I may consider a 19 footer if the price is right.

Thanks.

This will get you closer....
http://winnisquammarine.com/Used%20brokerage.htm

Here's a pic.

Call Chris or email him and ask about the boat. this is exactly what you want....

The Sundowner you referred to is very rough, I saw it in person in may and you would have another project boat. It came from saltwater and needs a complete interior retrofit.

Oh yeah. I went back and found that after I posted. It is exactly what I want, probably out of my price range though. I will send an e-mail on it. Thanks a bunch.

Also, thanks for the headsup on the Sundownder.

I haven't heard back from the Winnisqau people yet. To be honest dealing with getting a boat from New Hampshire to Michigan didn't sound too appealing to me anyways.

That being said I started looking at newer boats.

I want a boat that is between 1997 and 2003. In 97 Four Winns started to offer these boats with the full fiberglass liner as standard.

So my updated criteria would be 1997 throught 2003 Horizon or Freedom 17' or 18' outboard powered. I will look at boats up to but not exceeding $9k in price.

If you have a boat or know of a boat that meets this criteria please let me know.

Thanks.

These are not easy to find.

A couple in PA. Maybe a bit closer than NH. You will have to talk these down to fit your budget.

Hmmm.

Thanks. I'm not a huge fan of buying loaner or rental boats. However, those may certainly be better than most.

I'll keep those in mind. Thanks again.

Why the concern about buying from New Hampshire? I live in Seattle and have bought 2 boats from them in the last 18 months.

Easy shipping via uship.com or go pick it up! Can't be any farther away than I am!

No concern really about buying from NH. I was just hoping to find one closer to home. For the budget that I was originally looking in and even with my modified budget it is hard to justify the expense of shipping and/or the gas money to go look at or pick up the boat.

I heard back from Chris at Winnisqua. They sold that boat a few weeks ago.

I have about 3 boats I will be calling on over the next couple of days. I may call on those 2 in PA also.

If anyone sees any others while you are out and about or surfing the net I would like to know.

Thanks.

Just found this on another board I frequent--THIS IS NOT MY LISTING--Just put two and two together....Hope it helps

seller's info:
Boat has bow cover, cockpit cover, mooring cover, ski pylon, fish finder, and trolling motor. The boat has an open bow and seating for 6 in the cockpit. The trailer has a removable tongue and a spare tire.

The boat has some scratches and could use a good detail. Otherwise nice.
My email is boatz4fun@gmail.com
http://www.funonthefox.com/board/ads_item.php?id=850

Hope this helps...

Thanks for the info.

I am going to contact the seller for more information.

Can I assume that funonthefox is in reference to Fox Lake and River North West of Chicago?

Would you guess the boat is in that area?
