Stereo upgrade installation weekend has finally arrived. I am mounting the amp in the bow flip up behind the helm (same as factory location). My existing head unit (which will remain) is on the port side. Have others run their wires all the way around the bow to connect the head unit to the amp or is there a short cut (perhaps through the ski locker). Thanks!

PS We put our boat in for the first time last weekend since purchasing in November. It was worth the wait! Can't wait until next weekend!

I did the same amp install on my '04 230 by going through the ski locker for the amp remote wire and RCAs. At the same time I ran a J port for my iPOD that I mounted under the dash. The power for the amp I ran straight back to the duel battery switch.

I wired mine this weekend. I started going all the way around the bow until I hit a dead end at the head. Couldn't see an easy way around it. Ended up going through the ski locker--which was very easy. Once I have everything zip tied, I think it should work just fine.
