Looking for info on flying a flag on a private boat. Ive never heard of any, but I just bought a OK Sooners flag for ours, and they guy I bought it from said that in Oklahoma, you cant fly it while the boat is underway. Ive seen boats doing this, but was checking on legality of it. Let me know any info you guys have.

Haha, thats what I was thinking. Like I said I was sideswiped when he told me this (almost called him a liar to his face), was just seeing if there was any truth to it. Particularly in OK.

Its been 20+ years ago, but my Grandparents had a lake house over there in OK on Grand Lake. My GrandFather always had a small nautical flag flying on his old IMP Aztec. I've seen plenty of boats flying all sorts of flags and I've done it myself as well. Never heard, seen or read of any "rules" regarding it...
