I sympathize with your trials. I feel fortunate that we found a lake (albeit private) that really works for us. Being a private lake the ramp is usually very very quiet on a weekend day.
I drive the boat on and off but also back the vehicle in. Luckily it's slow so I can usually hop between the boat and truck easily. They also have a great boat/gas dock right next to the ramp so I can motor over there and tie up and wait for the admiral to park the truck.
