Hello, I have a 1993 Horizen with a 5 lt Merc Cruiser. Headed home the other day after a great day of skiing and tubbing with the kids. As I tried to come up to speed the Engine started to cut out at around 2000 to 2500 rpm's. I read through tons of other threads and found some similiar problems, many relating to fuel issues. I replaced the fuel filter but still no luck. I'm no mechanic but did the ussual things, checked oil level, loose wiring ect... Any idias

Take a look in this thread. Some good ideas in there...I'm no expert either, but there are plenty on the board You may want to cross-post over in the engine/drive forum. Good luck.

Fuel Pump is more than likely failing. Had the same thing. There was water in the fuel and it ruined the pump. Get your checkbook out if that is what it is.
