Yep, and it's been changed a bit on Lake Michigan for our area. Worse, not better.
Took the day off to go boating, looks like a good day to clean the boat in the slip tomorrow.

We are just trying to find a window of time were we can boat from the Canadian side over to the US side of Lake St.Clair (Metro Beach) later this afternoon or early evening.

Not a problem with wave height today, just want to avoid possible thunderstorms.........

We did have a window to run across the lake last Thursday evening (Sept 2) so off we went. Our dock neighbours told us we had white caps in our marina basin about 5:00pm and by 7:00pm things had settled down and the radar maps looked good so we crossed over. Beautiful trip across.

Now returning back home Monday (Sept. 6) was a different story. The run normally takes us about 1 hour to do. It took us a little over 2 1/2 hours. It was one of our rougher return trips. She was quite a windy Labour Day weekend in our area.

Decided I wasn't going to try and plane and pound our boat, so just moved along about 7 MPH for a good portion of the trip and enjoyed the ride. My wife and 8 year old son didn't mind the larger waves and getting a little wet so all is well.
