Makes it fun sometimes if you are trying to wax your boat (or apply bottom paint) and one of the two other guys beside you who are also on blocks are trying to wash their boat, especially if its windy and their water spray is blowing over on your boat. Grrrrrrrr, but watcha gonna do?

Inside heated storage would solve the weather and boat washing issues.

Cap'n - We do have the option of inside storage at our marina but two reasons I elected for outdoor storage and shrink wrap.

1) I'm cheap.

2) I'm pretty sure they wouldn't allow washing/waxing in indoor storage and I liked the fact that I can go work on the boat anytime I want to when its blocked on our marina's property. Ya should try sleeping on the boat, on blocks, under the shrink wrap in early spring with the shorepower hooked up so the ceramic heaters can run keeping you warm overnight. It broadens the boating experience. :)

PS. I like your new signature boat wake pic.

Mike.

Edit.....

I hope the sig pic is less offending to a few here than the previous one.

If you do ever try indoor heated storage, you won't go back.

SA has been resting comfortably inside heated storage, however i'm under the gun. Storage access is limited on Saturdays from 8 to noon. I spent two weekends ago wiping down and prepping for wax. This weekend is wax and possibly one day early next week, then some bottom paint touch up. I pick up my front panels tomorrow, had the isen glass replaced and some stiching/snaps repaired.

I'm told i'm splashing the first week in May!

Cap'n, If I remember correctly from someone's posting last fall regarding boat storage, you have a great rate for storing your boat in indoor heated storage. That rate plus the ability to work on your boat during the off season indoors and saving on the traditional winterizing costs would have me storing my boat in indoor heated storage as well if I boated in your area.

Our marina has the option of indoor storage (unheated) but the downfall for me is I'm pretty sure they do not allow freedom of access and the ability to work on your boat in the off season and I'd still have to pay for winterizing.

You have a nice off season lay up spot....

PSS, I wasn't aware of an issue with your previous sig pic. IMHO, I think you have positively contributed enough (over 3000 postings) to this forum along with owning a Four Winns boat for a number of years that your previous sig picture should of been given a pass. Just my opinion.

Mike
