Has anyone had good luck finding a nice comfy lifejacket for their kids?

Both of my kids are in the 50# - 90# range and their main complaint is the rash/irritation they get from it rubbing up against their chin/cheek area of the face. From what I can tell it's happens more so on my younger one because he's on the lower end of that weight range and his jacket floats up and rubs his face.

I've been looking to see if I can find a different style that has less bulkiness at the top. Any suggestions?

We are having the same problem right now with my smallest girl. She is right at 70lbs. I was told by a friend that the spongy foam style vests (like the ones the nicer pool rafts are made of) are better about not riding up and causing this.

What style are you using for them now? My son just outgrew his 50-90 and it was a neoprene Body Glove vest - pretty sure I got it at Sports Authority.

This is what we use for both my kids, 2 & 4yrs now. But they also make an infant one and the collar on them is excellent fabric. My little ones never have a problem with them and are more than willing to put them on

Our two youngest kids will wear these type vest when swimming or on the dock. They are not as hot and much more comfortable when swimming or running around. However, they still wear the bulky life vests that are Coast Guard Approved when the boat is under way.

Both of my kids have the water sports neoprene style and they'll only get the rash after a few hours of swimming and jumping from the boat. The jumping is what really does it as the vest is pushed up into their chin when they hit the water.
