Alas I was supposed to go to my cabin in the mountains and spend the day on the lake and install these yesterday. Unfortunatly my home was hit by lightening Thursday and I have been dealing with the issues all weekend. You would not believe what has been ruined (sprinkler system, tv's, pc's, grarage door opener, furnace/AC unit, Thermostat, cable modem, cable tv boxes, light dimmers. I even had my water main get blown out by it. I will report back as to fitment in 2 weeks when I get back to my boat.

Well, I bought the pads. I found that so far, when you fold the ladder up, the bottom rung sits flush against the top ladder step. This will make it impossible to mount anything to the top step, unless you offset it more than half way, which will then interfere with the cover closing. I have to check fitment on the second step. The bottom will work at least.

Has anyone actually put in a newer ladder into these areas??

That would maybe be the best solution, except for the $240 price tag.

I just called my local dealer. The top rung on my ladder (was already cracked when we bought the boat) broke on the right side. Sadly, it looks like I have to replace the whole ladder assy, instead of getting just the upper section.

Or find a local fabricator to fix it. Check around first before shelling out for a whole new one. That and there's probably someone around that could re-do powder coating on it. I may have mine redone at the end of this season. It's started to flake off in a couple of spots.

I am going to see if I can get it welded before I throw in the towel.

Sigh,
So it looks as if on my ladder I can put the wide pads on the top and bottom rungs but only 1 of the 2 middle rungs as they interfere with each other when folding due to thickness. Has anyone ever done this and have pictures? Has anyone ever replaced the older ladder with a new one and is it a direct bolt on replacement?

Alternatively, Does the extended swim deck come with a new ladder or is it desigend so that you move your existing one?

I seem to recall that it comes with one, but that's from a vague memory of someone buying one a long time ago.

I am conquering this whole mess this coming week. I have found out that there are three white ladders, not two styles. I will take pics this week, and see what I can do about making things fit. I will post my findings (with pics) after I am done.

Curious if you had any luck with the ladders?

In the process of completing the project, so that I can post the pictures. Will be the end of the week at earliest (due to work getting in the way). I am (sort of) making it work, but it is not an easy replacement. It does require a bit of modification.
