Oh for sure... These are not boats you keep outside tied to the dock all summer. Not with that carpet and you'll need a good UV resistant cover. I had the carpet in my boat a weekend before it was a smelly mess full of bugs even with the covers on.

That carpet/whatever it is a giant petri dish for every insect known to man. It has to go if you keep your boat outdoors. Very amazingly pretty boat though.

Under a mooring cover and a covered slip it should do fine, but just under the snap in covers in direct sunlight/rain left in the water? There will be some very unhappy owners in 2013. There's a reason why most boats are just gelcoat interior with minimal vinyl that can be easily replaced. Sure it doesn't look the best in our modern times, but it lasts.

You could also make the argument of how many bow rider owners leave their boat outside tied to a dock. Maybe 1%?

I've been leaving mine on a mooring from May to October for four years (with just the snap on covers) and I never had a problem with the carpet in any of my boats. Maybe in Florida, but in this part of the country it isn't a problem. :|

Guess I'm that 1%, no problems yet, I've owned it for 10 years now, still tied to my dock.

Florida must be different. My carpet lasted under a week before every bug on the lake made nest in it.

Having lived in southern Georgia and now Michigan, yes there is quite a difference. Down south the constant heat and humidity makes mold and mildew and bugs a much bigger problem. My biggest problem in Michigan is spiders and zebra/quagga muscles.

A Garage Door for a cabin entrance ? I wonder if it has a remote opener like my garage does ?

Does not look like a very easy step up to the foredeck.

Side view looks okay.

As far as keeping it at the dock all season, I have done that for 9 years on the salt water mooring, it can be done but I'd lose the carpet, and you MUST keep the bow and cockpit covers on. That keeps the vinyl from getting trashed from the UV and birds. Sometimes I am jealous of my neighbors with fishing boats, because they are always left open, no fiddling with covers. Those boats are self bailing. BUT, if we get a big storm, hardly any water gets into my bilge, not even enough to turn on the auto bilge switch. This weekend we got a record of 9" of rain in one day which for here is a record. I went down to the boat to check it out, maybe a qt or 2 got pumped out. The guy with the fishing boat at the next mooring, pumped out what seemed like several gallons. So it can be done but takes work, maintaining the vinyl and canvas. And outdrives.....

Ohh I love that garage door... finally, something waterproof. Best idea ever. I just hope the windows open. Even better would be if you could have a marine air option or some type of forced air blower/air vent.

The biggest problem I have in Florida ( I keep it docked in a 600 acre lake) is the brown water turning my hull brown. Wouldn't be a big deal if the boat wasn't white. No real issues with slime. Deposits can be handled with a stiff brush and a dive mask every month. I plan to pull it out this month and use some hull cleaner to get er back white again, re-polish all the top surfaces that are turning dull, and flush out the bilge. Other then that, it stays in minty condition with UV protectant on the vinyl often and weekly scrubbing down the whole interior with a car wash soap with the wax additive.
