You could answer all of your wishes with a 310...

Also, is there another brand in the year 1995+ with a nice interior (rear bed) in the sub 25ft range for mid teen$?

Yep, look for a late 90's Monterey 242 (1998 is a gem). They are built only miles from your home, it fits your size requirements and is a solid boat. There are probably more in Florida than any state. This is too far away in distance and price, but take a look see.

You will get mid to upper 40's at WOT with a single 5.0L too. And a short article for you to read.

Happy dreaming ! :D

It's called "Bang for the Buck", that is what we feel we got with our Monterey 282CR.

There are many "pocket cruisers" to choose from. A short list for you to consider.
SeaRay 240 Sundancer
Four Winns 238 or 248 Vista
Rinker 242 Fiesta Vee
Maxum 2400SCR
Regal 2465
Chaparral 240 Signature

The 310 Horizon, while it does have a "psuedo cabin" it's not really a cabn boat, and you will NEVER find one for mid to upper teens.

Something like that 1998 Monterey 242 with nothing but an interior fabric update will look no different then the latest offerings and honestly has more interior room then my fathers current sail, a 28ft Irwin.

Do you know the length of the main cabin? I'm 6'1

I don't know the length of the V-berth. The mid cabin will be at least 6'2" in length. I suspect the V-berth is similar, at least on the starboard side. You can e-mail customer service at Monterey, and they can probably get you the spec's on the 242. I say probably, because there was a large fire at the factory in 1999, and they lost alot of their pre 1999 records in the blaze.

Or just take a ride over to the factory, it's probably not a long drive from Orlando.

Not sure if they made a 242 Montura cuddy. I think it is a 236 Montura cuddy cabin. Good price if it is in decent shape. Not anywhere near the same boat as a 242CR as you can see.

For a 500 acre lake that would be plenty of boat. Any opinions on those?

A 500 acre lake and you are trying to pick up puntang??? You could have a 40' yacht on that lake and not get laid. Time to get a bigger boat and a bigger lake.

You make the best of what you got... It's the biggest private lake in central florida. I can be on it on a beautiful sunday afternoon and there's 2 other boats max.

That does not sound like fun "sunday afternoon and there's 2 other boats max."

The wife & I do like our private times, but only 2 other boats! I take it that you don't like people then?

Why limit your self to a lake, unless it the Great Lakes! We love going to new places, up & down thw coast.

Or.... "It's not how long you make it, it's how you make it long"

From my perspective, it depends on what you plan to do...
If you want to raft up with others, then only having 2 other boats on the lake might be a bust.
If you want to ski/board or hang out solo, then only having 2 other boats on the lake sounds ideal.

I love camping on Lake Mohave in late September and not seeing any other boats for most of the day.
