The amount of list in my boat (I have dual batt on the drivers side as well) is directly proportional to the amount of adult beverages I have in the passenger side Ice Chest

That said, I plan to move a battery and install Bennett Trim Tabs.

I have a '05 250. I noticed the same list to starboard when new. Had FW move batteries to port and rarely use the fresh water tank unless in FL. No problems since.
Just rolled 500 hours last week. I had factory installed trim tabs and it is my first boat to have them. I can't imagine not having another boat without them. Everyone can sit where they want and just level the boat out with the push of a button.
Love the boat, hope you do too.

Oh I am very happy with my 250. No boat is perfect. I wonder how much I'll have to pay to have this done? Anybody out there had this done and paid for it? How much?

I have had both batteries moved to port it has made a huge difference in boat. I thought that the dealer over charged ($450) especially since when I purchased the boat in June I had them add the second battery. We have had a blast with this boat. I am thinking about adding trim tabs over the winter. Thank you for all of your advice.

i recently installed a second battery on the left side and it helped even the load. i will also be installing smart tabs in the off season to help get the boat on plain sooner.

Sheesh. I'd say they overcharged by about $300.

Holy cow!!! They did overcharge you and that's BS. You figure $ 50 for a longer heavy guage cable that is tinned.....I agree $ 150 would be more appropriate unless they had to make some extraordinary mods to run wire and position the battery. To put this in perspective - i paid 1,200 for labor on a complete engine swap and low unit service. Some of these places charge based on the value of the boat over the value of the repair!!!

I would call and remind them you had already paid for the battery and they must have made an honest mistake. If they don't pony up and correct the bill i would find another dealer for repairs and make it well known why.

After recently trying to tackle a rewiring power to my amp problem, I realize that, at least on my H250, that moving the batts to the port side would be much more complicated than it would seem. I have 4 or 5 wires attached to each battery. It would be easy if you only had to run a battery cable from the batteries to the battery selector switch, but these other wires are tied into bundles going under the engine, or forward to the power inverter, etc. It would be, I think, labor intensive and therefore expensive.
