Had a great day out on the water Saturday until we came in for the day. We were going along fine at 40-45mph and then all of a sudden.....sputter.....sputter....sputter....and then completely dead. Couldn't get the engine to turn over at all. Got towed back. Next morning, checked all fuses, looked for loose wires, plugs were dry as a bone, and valves that should have been spraying fuel had no pressure or fluid at all. Fuel pump does not make any noise at all when trying to start the engine. Right now, it seems that either there is a bad wire or electrical connection to the fuel pump, the fuel pump itself is dead, or there is a blockage of some sort in the fuel line itself (seems least likely since I am hearing no noise from the pump itself).
Any thoughts or suggestions? It's always something isn't it? At least it happened the second to last day of our season and my buddy was right there ready with a tow. Could have been much worse!
