Ok. So I bought this boat yesterday, and couldn't turn on the aft cabin lights. Now I have a plumbing issue.

I have a full tank of water, the fresh water system switch is on and no pressure. I followed the manual about opening the faucets and still nothing. Is there some other valve that i need to open?

Also, I have no water available for the manual toilet. The manual shows a seacock on the schematic but no location.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Where your fresh water exits the tank, there is an inline screen. It's possible that it is clogged causing no pressure. When you turn your pump on, do you hear it running to build pressure, or total silence?

The valve for your toilet will be on the Starboard side in the bilge area. Look around the samew area for your fresh water tank and find the pump. On mine there is a valve between the tank and the pump. What happens if you hook the hose up to your inlet water connection on the stern of the boat. This will by pass the fresh water tank.

When I turn the pump on I hear a light hum, so I am sure it's on.

I will look for the valves in the bilge area, which I assume is under the hatch covering the motor.

I haven't hooked up to the city/dock water inlet yet. I will check that today.

If you hear a continual hum then it's not working right, it should pressure up then shut off. I have found that mine will continually hum when my batteries are very low. Might want to check your charge. Also if the head pump hasn't been used or even it it has it might not pull water through the raw water supply. They only seem to work for a couple years before they need a rebuild kit, we usually use fresh water to flush with anyway to reduce holding tank odor.

I got the fresh water figured out. I hooked up to a hose and found that someone had left the hot water tank valve open.

Next I have found the filter installed before the pump was plugged up with fine dirt.

I found the seacock was closed. Opened that and restored water supply to the toilet. Found a new problem. The manual pump has a leak on the top by the handle assy. One of the (4) screws has actually cracked the plastic at the seal. I'm sure that will be fun to replace.

How do you pump fresh water to the toilet?

I gues that's what you get when you buy a boat that has sat for three years. At least there was only 11 hours on the motor.

Speaking from experience ... do yourself a favor and replace the entire toilet. You can catch them on sale, with rebates for under $100. I got mine at West Marine for $99. Rebuild kits will cost you $70.

Took 20 minutes to replace, including clean up time.
