At this point, I would try to get some drawings from the manuf of the fuel tank/fitting arrangement. If you can get the nameplate data off the tank, may be able to locate what you need via internet search. This is a little farther down the line then I would have expected. This should be from your boat with a decent pic of the tank-top. Does that help??

We're beyond my experience now.
Judging from the picture, you need to hold the 3/4" fitting, and turn the 1 1/2" fitting to remove both from the fuel tank. I would only do so if the tank is less than about 2/3 full. I would expect there to be a tube or pipe attached that takes a suction from near the bottom of the tank, and my guess is that has become clogged, damaged, or otherwise blocked.

You've certainly narrowed down the possible culprits. I don't know what else we can tell you.

You've checked everything else in the fuel system including pump, filter and carb... they all work without the gas tank. Logic dictates the problem HAS to be upstream of the place you separated to run the portable tank (which was were?). Either internal to the fuel tank, fuel line, gas cap/vent, or check valve.
