Nothing like digging up an old one for a first post....

Anyway, I've got this http://www.defender.com/product.jsp?pat ... id=1066537, I think, in mine. It's what came factory on an 08 210 SS.
I unscrewed it to see what bulb is inside, and two wires go into the housing, but it appears the whole housing is just one piece. Like it's a sealed unit. Certainly no bulb unscrewed from the back, just the wires went inside. Or am I missing something, like prying the lens off the housing?

It is probably stuck together, I believe there is a black rubber gasket between the housing and the clear plastic lens. Should be a small bulb that pulls right out.

Got this response today from Defender:

"Thank you for your interest in defender. Unfortunately, it seems that the
lights do not open , with the bulb not being changeable."

So.....can anybody here say for sure if they do or not?

It takes a 168 bulb. Says so right in the description on the Defender page.

It should open right up. It does on my 268.

I agree, I think that housing opens up. And if so I'd stick an LED in it.

I know for a fact it does. I have them on my FW & my past Crownline. They take a wedge type bulb. Just take the two scews out. Sometimes the rubber gasket will make the lens hard to get off, just "gentle" pry it off. The whole housing will come out too!

Good to see Defender knows their own product!

The plan is to put LED's in, just trying to figure out best way to do it.
Guess I'll know for sure in April when it's out of storage.

Thanks for your help!
