We have a slip in Grand Traverse Bay and we pay around $1750 per year (May 15 to Oct 15). You get showers, bathroom power and wifi. We do have to buy our own beer but it's worth it. :) .

Any Transient slips available ? Headed up that way in July. Going to rent a place on Elk Lake, but want to get out on the bay as well. Place we rented on East Bay last time had a rocky bottom, is that common for most of the bay area ?

I just reviewed a few of my statements from our yacht club and it is $455 per month base rate. Not bad for a 50' slip but once you start adding in electricity, mobile pump-out ($11 per pop), ice, non-ethanol gas, food at the clubhouse, etc.. then you are shelling out some $$ every month. Can't beat it though.

That seam high for a yacht club!! Clubs up here are non-profit, there member owned. For one season, its about $1000.00 for a 40' slip. I could go with a small silp & save the money, but I like were the slip is. With one engine, its easyer in & out.

Elk Rapids has the finest marina on Grand Traverse Bay. You should have no problem with a transient slip. I would call ahead though.

Well, the slip fee is only $170 per month but with club dues and capital improvement, the bill is $455 per month. To me, that is what it is costing me each month to keep the boat at the club.

My marina is in New Jersey on the Delaware river. I will pay $2430 this season (I just received my 2012 slip invoice). Our season runs from May 1 to November 1.

Unlimited water and electricity is included, thank goodness. Use of the pool, game room, showers, and restrooms is also included.

This is my third marina; the best so far, and the most expensive.

we are on the mystic river in CT, $5,150 per season from April 15th to October 31st. Great location, but expensive, does not include winter storage. Does include water, electric, pool, clean showers, pump out and Wifi.

at our Town-owned marina--for town residents only--any size from 24'-36' is about $1,100. ( less for smaller than 24') per season (May-Nov)
+ 106.00 for elec.....free pump-outs--gas @ the dock is over $5/gal!! I should get my slip either this season or next year....been on the waiting list for 10 years!!!! Cheapest way to go around here...remember, coastal Connecticut, Fairfield, County-- 50 mi from NYC....commuters to Manhattan, Hedge-Funds galore, Lot$$ of $$ AROUND HERE!!!
That's why there's such a long wait.....Heck there's a 10-12 yr wait for a train station parking permit!!
