Nice! Not what I was expecting, but nice none the less.

I was looking hard at a new 194 and 214fs before I bought my Sea Ray bowrider.

Monterey makes some nice boats.

Thanks. I thought it would surprise a few people. The 194FS is now called the 204FS.

Note: that is NOT the trailer that comes with our boat, just used for display. our trailer is black and
is made specifically for this boat.

That is a beautiful boat! Love the helm! Did you trade in the 282? Time to change your signature.

Congrats Cap'n, that's a fine looking Monty. I really like how they have kept their designs fresh without going off the deep end with squares & triangles. Of course, with a new boat, you get to spend this summer puttering around at 20mph, getting passed by the loser cruisers...

It looks like a really nice boat, good luck with it. You should have been taking bets on the size of your new boat, no one would have come close to guessing correctly and you could made a few extra bucks in the process.

Congrats!

What's that white stuff all over the ground in front of the trailer?

Nice boat, Cap. I'm probably like most others who thought you'd definitely go larger.

Congrats on the new boat Cap'n. She sure is purty!

Hope this summer provides you with lots of opportunity to get out there and really have a blast exploring the many, many miles of water we have in our various fresh water lakes.

Have fun,
Mike.

We will tow with a Chevy Blazer for now.

This will obviously be a big change for us in boating, but my wife and I want to explore different lakes and area's that
we could not do with a cruiser. Time to simplify our lives, and with this move, it eliminates alot of the costs associated
with owning a big cruiser, and makes it easier to just hook up the trailer and go where we want at a reasonable cost.

Nice boat.

Have you had it in the water yet? Gull Lake is really nice...I'm sure they'd drop it in for you.

Cap'n, can you keep the new boat on its trailer at your home when you're not using it or will you keep it somewhere else?

Since I'm in question mode, from where you will store your boat, how many miles do you need to tow the new boat to launch it?

I certainly understand your desire to trailer, there are many advantages to trailer boating and advantages to cruiser style boating depending on one's preference and circumstances.

Mike.

Next thursday we will pick it up and have the sea trial on Gull Lake. Can't wait. :D

We will keep the boat at our house, it will fit in our garage.
It's about a 4 mile drive to the launch ramp from our house. We have access to two inland lakes
and Lake Michigan from where we will launch.

With our kids grown up now, most boating has just been the wife and I. So we just did not feel we wanted
to continue with the marina life, storage costs, and maintenance costs that you have with a cruiser. Her and
I want to be able to pick up and go wherever we want, and a small trailer boat gives us that opportunity.

Damn nice boat, congrats. Here on the forums we're all dreaming of bigger boats, and you show us all up.

Bowriders do have there benefits, the bow seating is great for relaxing with an unobstructed view while adrift. Also makes for easy in/out while beached. Being that you're used to cabins and stuff, I'm kinda shocked you didn't get a 224FSC.
