The deck hatch on my 2000 Vista268 is leaking and probably needs replacing. Where can I find a new (or perhaps used) one or parts?

Try a search. It's been covered before. Lewmar has discontinued the hatch several years ago. You will need to cut out the deck and fit a slightly different size.

How is it leaking?

You might be able to save yours. I've successfully replaced the D-ring seal - and repaired the hinges twice.

Hey Tom-----

where did you find the new D gasket for your hatch? I have a '96 238V with probably the same hatch...I can't find a new gasket anywhere that fits......my hatch has that "flat" side where the hinges are, you know?
Thanks,

STeve

> ... where did you find the new D gasket...

I trimmed the original gasket with a razor knife, leaving ~5/16" of the attached inner diameter in place to leave a clean inner edge, and used 3/4" self-adhesive foam D-gasket to replace the old flattened gasket, just outside of the trimmed ring. I put the end seam at the lowest (forward) point for drainage. The result has served well for two years.

Hi all,
I'm getting ready to change the seals on my 2000 338 Vista hatches. You will find the seals on http://www.grainger.com You will need to set up a business account to buy through them. They have the D- seals and any others you may need.

I realize this post is 5 weeks old but had simular problem. Check out where it seems to be leaking from. Mine was leaking around the rim and not through the hatch side. I noticed the headliner staining and leaked bad when i washed the boat. I took if apart to see what was going on. I found the screws on the forward place of the ring were not into the deck. Either the hole was cut too large or it was seriously off center. It was off center but possible cut too large. I took a router to hollow out between the fiberglass and glued in more wood. I used ply since screws would have more bite in it instead of end grain balska. Used a fair amount of silicon and remounted it. That took care of the problem. It was a problem from day one from the factory. Just look at yours and make sure where its leaking from.l
