Picked her up Saturday, after my new trailer was delivered to me. '08 H240 - lived on a covered lift on Lake Lanier in GA. No trailer, so I had a Loadmaster Aluminum I-Beam trailer produced and delivered to Gainesville where I picked it up Saturday.
Trailer did a fantastic job on the 500+ mile tow home, barely needing to adjust the winch post to get my tongue weight just right. I still need to adjust the forward bunks up to the hull.
Here's where it gets interesting. I just got the build sheet from Four Winns and of course it left the factory on a trailer. Pretty sure I saw that trailer a marina in GA while I was looking at a new trailer they had (didn't care for it - Venture Aluminum I Beam).
Anyways - I'm not a fan of how the bimini top is forward facing on this boat. It's quite costly to get the rear facing style from Four Winns, but for the life of me, couldn't figure out why this one was different. Until, I saw the build sheet. This boat had the Ski Tow Arch. But no markings anywhere on the boat from where it would have been. Do they leave the factory with the arch's?
Scratching my head on this one. Regardless - she was by far the cleanest H240/Horizon 240 on the market. I looked at one in IL, MI and was close to pulling the trigger on one in PA but the owner couldn't get the boat out of storage for me to view it. Flights to ATL were cheap!
