I did mine last summer. Here's a link to the discussion when I asked about doing this. Ended up being pretty easy to do but I sure was nervous drilling through the hull.

Can anyone with a 318 confirm if the head sink drains overboard or to the shower sump?

Head sink goes overboard. Galley hits the collector unless re routed.... Which I did last week.

Thanks Cougar. Did you plumb the galley sink next to the thru hull for the head sink? This may be a quick easy mod for me next weekend.

JSimon put his about 4 inches next to the head sink thru hull. I looked, and measured... and I didn't feel like there was enough angle on the drain line to drain for my comfort. I actually installed the thru hull about 4 inches under the head sink thru hull. It's right above the bootstripe.

We have an Attwood shower sump, about 6 years old now. The clips on the lid have fallen off and I have had to repair a broken inlet connection.
According to my research the whole thing could be replaced by a Whale Gulper IC pump. For multiple connections, there's a tank option, for 1 or 2 connections the tank is not required. The pump starts automatically via a sensor that does not involve float switches.
I would order one tomorrow if we used the shower on a regular basis.

My galley sink started to drain overboard yesterday, and the Attwood shower sump is in.

One benefit to a sump box is it can collect anything that went down the drain, like jewelry. But then since the head sink goes straight out that's a more likely place for stuff to fall in. Otherwise it's just a nasty-ass place to grow filth.

What diameter hose is the galley sink? I keep meaning to look at it when I'm on the boat but keep forgetting.

Galley drain hose is 1", I have a brand new FW matching thru hull fitting that I bought to run the galley sink over board but decided not to.
I'll sell it for 25 bucks shipped if anyone is interested
