Anyone have any experience with aftermarket fuel pumps(Sierra/Mallory). There is a difference of about $60 less for a high pressure pump. A parts guy at a retail store once told me that OMC is the same as Volvo Penta. I saw an OMC pump with same Volvo number for $60 less. On the fence.

I imagine they're all probably made on the same assembly line

Good chance. I've used both dealer- and online-bought high pressure pumps; they appear to be identical - but the less-expensive one makes better pressure.

when OMC when out Volvo Penta and BRP took over what was left. As Ric stated there is a good chance they are all made by the same company though sometimes the specs are different but I do not think I would be to worried about which one I went with. I would probably go with the cheaper one myself.
