Sorry for bringing up a old post, but a month ago I bought a Freedom 160, first trip out i did not notice any water in bilge, second trip lightly hit something and put a slight bend in my prop, then after I noticed following boating trips had water coming in issues, about a half gallon of water after 45 mins out the bilge pump i checked my bellows cant see any cracks or holes, just stress cracks on the accordion part of the bellows, i found the 6 nuts holding the out drive to the gimbal housing?, they were 1/2+ turn loose, don't know if water can get in from there?, then into the bellow's
I tightened the 4 transom nuts on the inside of the boat, the one behind the exhaust manifold sucks to get at, the right lower took a turn or more, the rest a 1/2 turn or less.
The boat is in very good condition for 28 yrs old and appears to have been covered or garaged it's whole life, floors and seats are all good
