Hello all, not new to boating, but new to the forum. Great stuff in here. I have gleaned info for several months and finally decided to join up.
While boating Memorial day, by anchor line rode over my bow light while setting an anchor on Lake Mich, breaking off the cover. Lost to the depths! I was looking at LED lights to replace it and the Attwood 3500 Series fits the footprint of the old light perfectly (old on was attwood 3300 series-non LED). Here comes the question:
The installation directions say to use a 1 amp fuse, but the current wiring is 2 amp and also runs the anchor light. Will I burn up the LED if I keep it 2A to ensure the anchor light comes on both while using "NAV" or "Anchor" (dual rocker switch). Do I have to run a new circuit for the bow light (very inconvenient) or switch my anchor light to LED to make it work?
Any input is appreciated! Thanks
