I find that the stains need more scrubbing if you let them dry. I always try and scrub the bottom as soon as I take it out. Labour day weekend when I took my boat out on the Monday, I let it dry until Tuesday evening because we pulled pretty late at night so I really had to scrub to get the algae and whatever else off. I use starbrite instant hull cleaner, I transfer it to a spray bottle and spray as I scrub with a brush sometimes I spray it on and let it soak but generally i just spray half of one side, scrub then rinse. Be sure to wash your hull with soap and water when you are done otherwise a white chalky residue will be left on your hull. Oh yeah, if you don't want that same residue all over your trailer, you should cover it. I did the first couple of times but it is a PITA so know I don't bother.
